The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Nod Of Approval, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
232C Cummins Homevalue Hardware H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning into the home straight involving Houndsworth, ridden by A.M. King and Theanniversary Man, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, where it appeared slight contact was made. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
232D Broderick's Electric H'cap H'dleP.T. Enright, rider of Spread The Faith, trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel in running. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.
232F Bay Leaf M'dn H'dleMr D. Doyle, rider of Boomerang Breeze, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last hurdle.
Alan O'Sullivan, rider of Kilmond Knight, trained by David Richard Barry, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise in running.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kilmond Knight, trained by David Richard Barry, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
232G Tim Kelly Group H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards received a request from Oliver McKiernan, trainer, of Everystep Oftheway to substitute the nominated rider J. I. Duggan, with Alan O'Sullivan, as the declared rider was unable to do the weight. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that his charge was the second reserve and due to time pressure before the close of declarations, he had nominated J. I. Duggan who subsequently when contacted advised him that he was unable to do the weight. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards allowed the request on this occasion. Furthermore, they were satisfied Oliver McKiernan was in breach of Reg. 3.(4) and having considered his clean record in this regard they cautioned him on this occasion.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Political Stance, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
Michael Kenneally, rider of La Tene, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action after jumping the third last and subsequently pulled up.
